Dongguan Norman course guide
A Greg Norman-designed course in Dongguan Forest Park, moving from mountain ridges and hillsides into a lush valley with Sandbelt-inspired bunkering.
Why consider Mission Hills Dongguan – Norman Course?
The Norman Course belongs to the Dongguan side of Mission Hills, not the Shenzhen-labelled course group. Mission Hills describes a narrow-fairway layout bordered by native grasses and forest, with a front nine through ridges and hillsides and a back nine through a valley.
Ridge-to-valley routing
The changing terrain is the course’s clearest planning feature. The routing moves from elevated mountain and hillside ground into a lush valley, creating a different trip experience from the more stadium-led Shenzhen pages.
Sandbelt-inspired bunker style
Mission Hills describes Australian Sandbelt-style bunkers with steep sand flashes, along with tall native grasses and dense forest corridors. The operator publishes average green size of 5,274 square feet and average fairway width of 44 yards.
The Dongguan complex, not just one course
The Norman Course sits within the Dongguan Forest Park complex, which Mission Hills says contains five of its courses. Dongguan clubhouse facilities should be treated as complex-level context, not automatic Norman Course inclusions. A 2023 Mission Hills notice records a Youth Series final at the Norman Course; this is dated event history, not a current tournament schedule.
