Shenzhen stadium-course guide
A Nick Faldo-designed stadium course in the Shenzhen-labelled Mission Hills collection, with spectator mounding, a strategic closing stretch and an island green at the 16th.
Why consider Mission Hills Shenzhen — Faldo Course?
The Faldo Course is the Shenzhen-labelled Mission Hills stadium course. Nick Faldo Design and Mission Hills describe a strategic course with spectator mounding, a drivable 15th and an island-green 16th. Yardage varies between the operator and designer profiles, so the operator figure is labelled rather than treated as universal.
How the stadium character affects play
The course uses shaped spectator mounds and earthen amphitheatres to give the routing a stadium identity. That makes it a useful choice for golfers who want a tournament-style setting without confusing the course with the broader Mission Hills resort or with Dongguan’s separate Norman course.
The 15th and 16th closing sequence
Mission Hills identifies the 15th as a drivable par four and the 16th as the region’s only island green. Those two holes provide a clear course-planning identity and are more useful than an undated ranking claim.
Designer attribution and access
Nick Faldo is the named designer, while a dated Faldo Series release describes collaboration with Schmidt-Curley Design. Current access and any facility availability should be checked with Mission Hills before an itinerary is confirmed.
