Course Overview

Gassan Panorama Golf Club is one of Thailand’s longest and most distinctive golf courses, redesigned and reopened in 2017 around a vast central lake near Chiang Mai. All 18 holes are routed around the water, creating constant lakeside views, dramatic bunker complexes and a genuine championship challenge from the back tees.

Playing to an impressive 7,761 yards from the tips, the course uses a mix of hole lengths and angles to keep things interesting, including several demanding par 4s and one unique par-6 hole that stretches to 666 yards. Multiple tee boxes make the layout accessible for mid and high handicappers, while lower-handicap players will find plenty of opportunities to test their long game and course management.

Water is in play on many holes, often flanking both sides of the fairway or guarding greens, so accuracy and smart decision-making are vital. What to Expect

On the course, expect a strong emphasis on strategy rather than just power. Tee shots often play alongside or over water, with bailout areas carefully positioned to offer safer lines. The par-6 hole is a particular highlight, asking you to balance distance and precision over multiple shots to avoid water and large bunkers on the way to the green.
